Our Story.

Grow Pediatric Therapy Services was formed out of a growing desire to help children with challenges in rural Lafayette and Saline Counties in Missouri. Since its inception in early 2018, it has grown from an after school and small group program to a program that serves both Families and School Districts in several rural Missouri counties. Grow practitioners have a unique passion to not just compensate for deficits through adaptations, but to (whenever possible) remediate the reasons that those deficits exist. We do this through the use of various programs discussed further in our “Programs and Services” tab.

Our programs are funded through a combination of grant sources, school district funding, as well as family payment plans, depending on the service. A sliding fee scale is available for those who apply and qualify (as grant funds are available to offset the full service fee).

How it Started.

We began seeing more and more students within the school setting who needed Occupational Therapy services, but didn't qualify for Occupational Therapy services as per IDEA rules/regulations.  Through the creation of Grow Pediatric Therapy service as a 501(c)(3), we were able to apply for grant funds in order to see those students, and it has truly grown and evolved from there.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational Therapy (also known as O.T.) is a healthcare profession, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of a myriad of difficulties.  Basically, if there is something you'd like to be able to do in your everyday life, but you can't for whatever reason, OT can help to rectify that.  OT for children involves helping with their "occupations" of play, as well as being a successful student, successful child, or successful community member.  OT is completely client-centered, so treatment interventions are based around the specific client's desired activities or interests.  Have a child who loves Thomas the Train?  Chances are Thomas will make an appearance in our treatment interventions.  If you're an adult wishing to rehabilitate back to your desired work occupation of being a hairstylist, as well as once again enjoy golf as a leisure activity, we'll likely be making those skills and abilities part of our intervention plan. The sky's the limit within the area of OT...that is what makes us the "best" (only joking).

How much does it cost to receive OT?

Depending on where you live, what you make, and whether or not your family qualifies for Medicaid, that is a different answer.  We have a sliding fee scale, which decreases the rate you might pay depending on the size of your family, as well as your annual income.  Reach out for more information.

Where are your services located?

Many of the school districts that we work within allow us to use our space for after school therapy, as well as for summer services.  We do not have a physical office-front at this point, however that may come into fruition in the future.
